Weekend

It has been a beautiful weekend in Hilo, those kind of days when you know you live in the most beautiful place and feel sooooooo blessed. I don't know how I will ever be able to leave this place.
Saturday we woke up to a beautiful morning and went downtown and had breakfast at the local ohana cafe, it was really yummy. Then we went home and hung out for a while and then got ready for the beach. It was such a beautiful day, I did not want to go inside, it was one of those days when you want to spend the whole day outside. The evening was just as beautiful and we went on a date out to dinner and had a great view of the water and all the beautiful flowers and trees.
Sunday we woke up agin to another beautiful morning, but unfortunatley Josh had to go to work. I went to cocunut island and took some pictures of the mountain and was thinking to myself how blessed I am to live here and wondering how I can get my family out here so I don't have to leave. I truely love it here and have never felt more at home and relaxed. Hawaii is such a chil place where people beleive in living a simple life and working to live, not living to work and I love it!!!!! Kids spend their weekends at the beach with their families barbequeing and having a good time, not sitting in front of a T.V. or computer. It is sooo peaceful and amazing. I am constantly in awe of its beauty and everything this island has to offer.

Allison and Lary's trip to Hawaii

My really close friend Allison and her boyfriend Lary just came out to see us in Hawaii and we had a great time. I wish they could have stayed longer and I hope they come back.

They got in on Thursday morning and we stayed at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel and sat on the beach all day and enjoyed some cocktails, playing in the water, walking down the beach and throwing the football. watching the sunset from our lanai's and going out to a nice dinner at the Coaste Grille.

Friday we woke up, had breakfast on our lanai's and then headed down to the beach for a day of fun in the sun. We walked over to the next beach on a beautiful trail and hung out there for a couple hours just chillin on the beach having some cocktails and playing in the water. Then we went back to the hotel and had lunch by the pool and then headed back to Hilo. We went to dinner at my favorite Thai restaurant and Allison and Lary liked the food just as much as I do.

Saturday we woke up and chilled at our place for a while then headed for the beaches. We went to Richardsons so they could see a black sand beach and then we headed for Kopoho ponds were there are a bunch of tide pools and it is surrounded by lava rock. After we hung out there for a couple hours we headed to the champagne ponds where the water is heated by the lava, it felt GREAT, we hung out there for a couple hours and then headed into Pahoa town for dinner at Liquins.

Sunday was their last day:-( and we went to lunch at Cafe Pesto and walked around downtown Hilo for a bit. Then we headed for Kona, making stops along the way. We went to Onemea bay and Akaka falls. Then we went to downtown Kona for dinner by the ocean and walked around for a little while before they had to go to the airport. Joshua and I stayed at the Waikaloa Marriott that night because we were too tired to drive home. We chilled in the hot tub and tried to get as much out of our stay as we could. The next day we woke up had the breakfast buffett and went kayaking. Then we hung out at the bar for a little while and met some other couples, it was the coolest bar I have been too. I loved the set up, it was a great bar for having converstation with others, because it was circle. Then we started our treck back to Hilo and stopped off at Waipio valley for a while. We had 4x4 so we were able to drive down lucky for us, because the walk would have been hellish, it has the biggest incline I have ever driven down or seen. On our drive down we saw a wild mamma horse with her baby and she let me take pictures of her. I love horses and will own some one day. Once we got down there I saw beauty I have never seen before in my life and feel soooo blessed to be able to see and experience something like that. Joshua and I made friends with some dogs and Josh played fetch with them, it was sooo cute. I can't wait to have a dog!!! I cannot wait to go back and hike into the next valley and go camping, it is something that I want to accomplish before I leave the Island, because it is one of the hardest hikes on the islands besides the one in Kauai. We got home, ate and went to bed.

It was a FABULOUS vacation!!!!!!!
